Studio 101

Studio 101 is a one day invitational program run by the Eastside Culture Crawl bringing school children into artists' studios to make work with a practicing artist.

The Eastside Culture Crawl gives the school a modest budget with which the students purchase one piece of art from one of the artists visited. That work then hung in the school. The program is designed to help young people gain an understanding of how professional artists make their work and make their living.

Since its creation in 2008, by patron Mira Malatestinic and artist Richard Tetrault, the program has been funded by a generous personal patronage supplemented by the Eastside Culture Crawl Society.
