Bio:
.•*¨¨*•-:¦:-•* Hello ~ Currently I'm working with a method of portraying the creative Spirit deep within using acrylic, pastel, oil and watercolor, for my own paintings and drawings. This goes deeper than the mind in everyday life ~ the painted world of my truth, natural and authentic emotions, dreams and passions. It weaves in and out of representation and abstraction and beyond the censoring of logic. It weaves in and out of representation and abstraction and beyond the censoring of logic. All mediums are satisfying but I prefer experimenting in oils & acrylics. Often I revel in working on discarded boards which would have otherwise ended up in landfills and sometimes use papier mache to create canvasses. ★————•☆• I received my BFA from Loyola University Chicago. Before graduating, the local cultural park district gave me my start as an art teacher for people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels in the community. Work included being the sole art instructor in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, design, color theory, exhibiting and crafts. I stayed at Lincoln Park Cultural Center for over 6 years, before moving to Montreal. While helping others there experience the benefit of classical, representational art classes and imparting techniques, I felt it was essential to maintain the core artistic spirit of each student and not crush or block it in the process of evaluation and correction. Rising out of creative blocks into the development of one’s own personal voice and style is of the utmost importance. •☆•—————★ As a painter & teacher, I'm happy to create & delve in with students here. In my own group & private painting and drawing classes, fulfilling my dream comes from the heart. Intuitive training at a private school called Inner Dimensions School for Spirited-Centered Healing opened up my life where I could not open it before. Moving on, moving ahead, delving, releasing, being, REAL feelings... like a vitamin ~ that the forever sunlight of painting releases in your bloodstream, often very subtly at first. ★————•☆•My teaching philosophy is that as busy human beings, we tend to pass by a lot in our daily lives in the process of meeting goals and deadlines. We may miss small things that could open up our awareness and enrich our lives. One may not see the flower that has just bloomed this morning in stunning colors, notice a child waiting for a parent to spend time with him or hear the small voice of one’s true calling in life that speak quietly to the heart. Or feel a nudge of the inner self to stop and feel something instead of dismissing it as unimportant. The everyday can give way to intuitive voice and uncensored Soul. I've found that art affects life as it begins to shift everyday occurrences, including personal relationships, work and just about everything else. Therefore my work as a private teacher has guided students to places where their painting was liberating and healing. *•-:¦:-•*¨¨*•.
