As an artist my ultimate goal is to paint stories about human experience – the beauty, vitality, darkness and fragility of human nature. Some stories I know intimately, others are shared with me and still others are revealed in the landscape. I become attached to each piece as I explore the world of the personal and tell the stories of lives both present and past. Though my pieces ultimately are about people, they are not always figurative, with objects instead speaking about human existence.
