Marc Boyd founded Smoking Crow Guitars in 2003. As a lifelong guitarist and woodworker he saw the need to create custom guitars when he simply couldn’t find one that was perfect for him. Smoking Crow Guitars offers a wide range of designs with an individual focus on playability, ergonomics and TONE! Included in his extensive tonewood selection is an environmentally friendly option made from responsibly harvested and/or salvaged wood. Marc has spent time in Oregon studying under Master Luthier Charles Fox and is a member of the GAL (Guild of American Luthiers). Smoking Crow Guitars produces both acoustic and electric instruments. They have been played by Australian multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd as well as Canadian rocker Matthew Good.
