Bio:
Pat Christie is an Emily Carr Industrial Design Graduate who shares space at the OGA Design Shop run by fellow alumni Logan Gilday. Upon graduation, Pat has been driven to define a space for himself in the Vancouver Design scene leading him to establish the Daly Company in summer 2012. The current designs from Pat Christie are aimed at finding furniture solutions that can make use of a surplus of BKP (Beetle Kill Pine). A problem very close to us here in British Columbia. His creations are inspired by BIG extinct technology and life as a kid.. The results are a number of unique objects, each embodying its own character based on purpose. Pat is still actively involved voluntarily with the Emily Carr University, working to make a sustainable future for graduate of their design programs. He founded a group calling themselves the Vancouver Industrial Design Alliance who want to plant design in Vancouver Culture.
