Bio:
Patricia Chauncey is a textile artist who uses destructive and extreme processes to create highly textured and organic surfaces. Her obsessive work is inspired by microscopic and biological specimens, evolution and life force. She has most recently shown in the British Columbia Mining Museum, the Quesnel Art Gallery and at the Squamish Arts Council Gallery. Her work is available at the Numen Gallery in Yaletown in Vancouver and is now in collections internationally. Time is divided between life in the North where she owns a gallery and summer home in the tiny, artistic Village of Wells, B.C., in Fort Nelson and in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood in Vancouver.
