Bio: I enjoy playing with clay, I tried screen-printing and mosaic, but at the moment I am drawn to mixed media. I let the
material that I love, respect and fear lead me in my journeys, in my search for simple and sometimes unexpected beauty.
I look for the eternal in the ephemeral, for light in darkness, for a song in silence.
To create a new space and to challenge the confinement of the time I’m given, I tread and tangle some lines from my mind with these charcoal-made pieces.
I love words and what they can do; their truth, power, games and deceit. My first book of poetry in English, "Fragments", was
completed and published last spring.
In some other life, in my old country, I ran an art gallery, wrote and published poetry and art-related articles, and
facilitated and curated exhibitions.
I studied psychology and art history at Belgrade University, and fine arts at Langara College, at ECUAD and on my travels to
Italy, Russia, Austria, Greece, UK, Netherlands, Spain....
In Vancouver, I was involved for over a decade as a volunteer, artist in residence and instructor in various art programs for children and adults.
