Lacy Morin-Desjarlais is Saulteaux and Metis and is originally from Saskatchewan. She has lived in the Lower Mainland for most of her life. She has a Diploma in Fine Arts from Langara College. Her style is influenced by Norval Morrisseau and she paints in Acrylic and Watercolor. "I use art as a way to keep stories alive, to tell the truth, and to share with the world who I am and what I see. I have respect for the First Nation People from this area and I acknowledge the traditional territory that I reside on to learn, live, and work. I want to continue to contribute back to the younger ones and bring awareness about the beautiful teachings that there are to learn."
