Carmelo was born on the beautiful Island of Sicily in Southern Italy in 1939. He came to North America in the 70's , spent some time in New York and Montral before finally making the West Coast his home. In Vancouver he operated successful pastry shops and restaurants before becoming a full time artist, incorporating his two great passions, food and art into a dynamic display of vibrant paintings. Carmelo is totally self taught With studios in Vancouver, Sicily and S.California he is always surrounded by the fruits and colours he loves to paint. His work hangs in all over the World in many private and coporate collections. He is married to Jennifer Goodwin also a visual artist who shares his great passions for the arts. www.jennifergoodwin.ca
