Bio: Jacqueline Robins lives in east van, where her studio has a stunning view of down town. Her work is narrative and combines the many skills she has honed over the last 15 years of working with clay and imagery. The stories are applied with underglazes, impressing, screening, embossing. These are derivatives of traditional printmaking techniques. Both mid-temperature white clay and porcelain are her current medium.
The Home Sweet Home line is about my experience of living in the lower mainland. Bicycles, maps, powerlines, train tracks, and the ubiquitous crow are familiar to anyone living here.
