Born in Calgary, Canada, 1983, Evan Broens is a Canadian Artist currently living and working in Vancouver, Canada. He received his BFA in Sculpture from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 2005. Broens current body of work consists of whole forms with an emphasis on shape and coloration in forging a visual language so that the work can be understood in terms of itself. In 2012, Broens next professional practice will be a two-month Artist in Residence at the DRAWinternational, in Caylus, France.
