Eva Hoenig was born and raised in Germany where she trained as a furniture/cabinetmaker and finishing carpenter (1986 to 1991) and obtained a Master's degree in joinery and woodworking in 2000. She worked independently as an interior designer and furniture builder for over 10 years. After Hoenig's immigration to Canada ,she became involved in public art projects and started to develop her painting and sculpting skills while working as an architectural millworker. Her paintings are now in private and public collections in Germany, the US and Canada.
