Elaine Garrett has created a collection of hats that are ready to wear, but also loves to design unique creations for special occasions. She makes hand blocked, hand sewn felts and straws. They are trimmed with interesting contemporary and vintage materials, and each one is totally unique. Elaine has a diploma in design, has studied sculpture and boutique design in Florence for two years, has sewn all her life, and has been fascinated by hats since she can remember. This has also lead her to study the history and designs of hats over the centuries. All these skills, she has decided to channel into hat making. She has called her company Cappellino because she adores Italy and it means little hat in Italian.
