Bio:
I was born in the Maritimes, and from about age five, I was spending my after school days either in my grandfather's custom leather skate shop or in my dad's mechanic shop. In my early 20’s, I graduated from Holland College in Visual communications, majoring in print. The next step for me was moving to a bigger city to expand my creativity. Hello Vancouver! Here I was welcomed with open arms, especially when I became a member of “Project3media :: Vancouver.” We created many art shows, involving live paintings and visuals at special events. The next venture was to develop my skills in these kinds of live media, so I got myself adopted into “The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret” family as their lighting director. That's a family that keeps my soul healthy.
Of the many crossroads in my life, one always comes to my mind. Around the time my Grandfather passed on, a package came in the mail. The contents were some of his leather working tools. This set me on a path to etch all my life experiences onto leather like a road map. Now, as I work to develop my craft, I am a resident of the 1000 Parker Street Studio, member of the East Side Culture Crawl.
The style that my life has developed can only be described as CreativeMayheM.
