Bio: BERNADINE FOX BFA hails from a place that is so flat you can see company coming ten miles away. She grew tall, lean, wiry, and unruly. As a single parent, Fox raised two girls. Now she is raising her granddaughter. She paints, draws, teaches, writes, curates, and organizes art events. Bernadine is a visual artist whose work is inspired by women around her. She paints in an impressionist style with bright colours and makes art that matters, makes meaning, at times defies status quos, and will reach inside and touch some small part of you. Bernadine obtained a BFA from the Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC. She trained at ACAD and Douglas College in BC. Fox has worked as a Film Producer/Production Manager for film and animation and volunteered her expertise on the Boards of various art organizations. Fox has also been an internationally recognized consultant/educator/support worker working with women with severe childhood trauma. It was this work that inspired her to produce art and writing with authentic images and stories of and for women. Her work is held in private collections in NY, CA, TO, and BC. She works out of the Williams Clark Studios in East Vancouver.
